The New Hampshire Society of Accountants (NHSA) is the professional home for a diverse group of men and women working in the fields of accounting, auditing, tax preparation, bookkeeping, financial planning and other related disciplines.
Our members live and work in New Hampshire, Maine, Massachusetts, Vermont and beyond. Included in our membership are Public Accountants, Certified Public Accountants, Enrolled Agents, Accredited Business Advisors, Certified Financial Planners and a host of other professional designations. Most of our members serve the public either as sole practitioners or small firms.
NHSA has traditionally offered five to seven meetings and one purely social gathering per year. The meetings and the social gatherings allow our members to network with one another and discuss matters of mutual interest, and provide opportunities to form friendships that lead to a higher level of professional expertise to the benefit of our clients. Because we have such a diverse membership, we believe we can offer a wider range of opportunities than can other associations that are comprised solely of individuals with a single professional designation, for example CPA.
Our association provides low-cost professional education for its members so that they might have access to the latest developments in accounting, taxation and related fields in order to better serve their clients. For example, with each meeting we offer one or more speakers and four or more hours of Continuing Professional Education (CPE). In addition we sponsor a "Gear Up" tax seminar (16 hours of CPE) each November or December.
